About us
Game Spot started in 2024 as a response to a feeling shared by many people who play games on a phone: there are too many titles, too many auto-generated lists, and very few honest recommendations. We wanted a simple site where someone had actually played the game before saying "this one is worth your time."
Who we are
We are a small editorial team based in Tarragona, Spain. We mix editorial and design profiles with people who have been playing mobile games for more than a decade. We work as an independent project, not tied to any studio or publisher.

What we cover
We focus on mobile games in the role playing, survival, open world and simulation genres. We mostly cover Android. When a title is also available on iOS, we note it on the listing.
Editorial values
- Honesty: we publish what we play. If a game does not convince us, it does not appear here, even if it has favourable press.
- Independence: we do not accept payment in exchange for reviews, and we do not sign affiliate deals with the developers we list.
- Respect for the reader: no spam, no pop-ups that close with a trick, no artificial urgency.
- Privacy: we collect the minimum data needed and only for the newsletter. See our Privacy Statement.
How we work
Every review follows the process described on the How we review page: discovery, pre-filters, real play test across several days, evaluation against six criteria and an editorial decision. Listings are revisited at least once per quarter.
Business model
The project is funded by occasional non-intrusive advertising and, in the future, by an optional premium newsletter. All content is free today. We do not sell personal data and we do not charge for inclusion in the catalog.
